The Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 is the fourth generation of Bridgestone’s WinterBiter series of winter tires. The Blizzak WS70 is designed for cars, sedans, minivans, SUV, and CUV vehicles whose drivers need to get where they are going despite the slush, snow, and ice covered roads of winter.

Features

The Blizzak WS70 features a directional tread design with four circumferential grooves that help channel away slush and water from the tread area. The tread has a centre riding rib to extend tire mileage and independent shoulder blocks featuring 3D zigzag sipes which provide added traction on icy and wet roads. Open shoulder channels allow water to flow out from under the contact patch to help improve traction and braking control and to reduce the chance of hydroplaning.

The Blizzak WS70 features a dual tread compound utilizing Bridgestone’s Nano-Pro technology coupled with a silica based Multi-Cell compound. The Nano-Pro technology allows the chemical elements in the tire to remain consistent and uniform giving you reliable road performance. MultiCell technology means the rubber has microscopic tubes throughout the tread in order to wick away water from under the tread for added bite in wet, slippery conditions. Silica helps the tread rubber remain flexible in colder temperatures and gives it additional durability.
