DO NOT order tires off their website. Had no contact from them 4 weeks after ordering (and paying deposit) for a set of tires. Website says appointments not confirmed until they call you. Haha!! No calls!! try to call them...nobody answering and no messages can be left as mailbox is always full.

Good luck trying to get a hold of anyone via phone. Drive all the way in just to wait at the front counter for no one to come. Walk around to the open garage door, no one acknowledges you there either.

I had a great experience at Absalute Tire! I ordered new summer tires, and had them installed. Paul and his team are great guys! Absalute Tire was the ONLY place in town that was able to order in the specific tires that I wanted for my Honda Passport. Not only that, they were also a lower price! It was nice to support a Canadian small business, rather than going to Canadian Tire, WalMart or another big box store. My new tires arrived in no time - and were on my vehicle within a few days. The installation was quick (I waited at the shop for this). Paul was great about answering any questions that I had. Will be recommending this business to my family and friends in the future! 🙂

Sad to see a business failing. First they stop taking credit cards, then they started asking people to pay for tires in advance lastly then missed two appointments in a row because they could not get parts in time. This was work that was booked months in advance.

August 19, 2022: My wife Deb, our poodle Odin, and I were off to Meaford and the Owen Sound area today, and got more of an adventure than we were expecting. Around 2PM it sounded like an 18-wheeler had materialized out of thin air and landed on our Toyota Matrix—turns out it was our muffler pipe. We made our way into Owen Sound where we were directed to Absalute, and thank goodness we were: Paul was able to fit us in, in under an hour and 20 minutes later we were on our way back to Fergus with a solid temporary fix and a feeling of gratitude for his generosity of spirit!

Reading all the great comments about Absalute, I kind of wished I lived local, so I could get automotive service at Absalute all the time! We live in the Niagara region, and when we took our boat up to the Bruce for a few days this past month on vacation, the lights on our boat trailer died, making our journey unsafe. We initially stopped at Canadian Tire up the road, but they couldn't help us. They told us to swing by Absalute, where we met the INCREDIBLE Shelby. Now, to be clear, we didn't end up getting service done at Absalute either. But Shelby went out of her way to find a service centre to help us. She did this right near the end of the workday, simply out of her kindness of her heart. Now that's what we call service excellence!! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, I hope you check out the good folks at Absalute. Thanks again, Shelby (and Sassy the beagle says hi!).

I was in need of a last minute emergency break repair and they were extremely accommodating at Tirecraft Owen Sound. They provided transportation for me to go to and from the appointment. Friendly, professional and extremely thoughtful. My wife and myself were on an anniversary holiday, driving through Owen Sound from Fonthill, when my muffler pipe broke. We tied up the pipe and made our way to Absalute without an appointment. Paul greeted us and quickly pulled our Van into the garage, despite having other jobs on the go. He ended up modifying some pipe and clamps to repair the problem so that we could continue with our travel, without significant loss time because of potential delays in getting appropriate parts. He worked for over an hour on this solution and ended up charging us less than $50 - I truly expected it to be much more. I tried to tip him for his friendly and professional interaction while there and he kindly refused. He made a potentially difficult day into a minor blip. I can only speak highly of the integrity and consideration that both Paul and the admin staff at the shop provided on this day...and the modified pipe is still working great!

Paul, Shelby and the boys have been my go-to since having them recommended to me by another mechanic 5 years ago. I've had my cars in for everything from an oil change to a complete vehicle inspection before a road trip. With the inspection, Paul took the time to explain what they found, what needed to be done right away, what should be done when I got back, and what could wait. All in all, you can expect honesty, communication and good work when you take your vehicle to Absalute.
