It all starts with how it is constructed. The ATKO2 uses steel belts with a full width nylon cap to help protect the tire from punctures and other road damage. The new CoreGuard sidewall technology makes the side of the tire thicker and more durable with new tread elements designed to deflect road hazards from the sensitive portions of the tire.
An interlocking tread design gives the tire additional stiffness for faster response to your inputs. A thicker and more durable tread ensures an improvement over the old model and stone ejectors make sure that you’ll get maximum traction on every rotation. Sidebiter lugs are included for grip in precarious positions or deep mud. 3D sipes in each tread block are designed to lock together to keep biting edges open and ready.
The ATKO2 is also certified by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada for severe snow traction by virtue of its deep lugs and high void space.
