Yokohama ADVAN S.4. performance tires are an ultra high performance all-season tire with a performance pedigree based on years of racing experience. It has been chosen as the spec tire for the FIA World Touring Car Championship and is a popular tire in the American Le Mans race series.
A multitude of Yokohama developed racing enhancements have been built into the manufacture and design of the ADVAN S.4. It has clearance chutes as well as Aqua Cut Tusk Grooves to disperse liquid from the road surface for greater wet traction. A solid centre rib keeps the tire steady and responsive when travelling in a straight line. M shaped sipes through the centre of the tire grant it extra traction in all conditions while staggered tread blocks give it grip no matter what direction the tire happens to be pointing. Yokohama has also included control waves on the inside of the shoulder that are designed to improve durability and reduce tire noise.
