The solid centre rib gives the tire a stable feel on highways and helps the tire to remain responsive during cornering. All the inner ribs are notched to increase stability, acceleration, and stopping power. The wide outer shoulder blocks increase the amount of rubber on the road. This helps to slow down tread wear and give the tire extra grip when starting, stopping, or cornering. Wide circumferential grooves clear away water from the road surface and improve wet weather handling. Numerous new technologies in the tread compound combine to create a stiffer and more gripping tread to maximize traction on wet and dry surfaces. The asymmetric non directional tread design has inner and outer zones designed for improved braking, cornering, and responsiveness.
