About Degroot’s DiagnosticTIRECRAFT

Scarborough, Ontario Mechanic and Tires

Located at 4 Falaise Road near the intersection of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue. If you are traveling into the city on Kingston Road, just past Morningside Road and before Lawrence Avenue you will find Falaise Road on your right and will notice the Degroots Diagnostic TIRECRAFTfacility. If you are coming along Kingston Road heading east once you pass Lawrence Avenue you will notice the McDonald’s restaurant on your right. Look to your left and you will see the Falise Road exit as there is a break in the median for you to turn.

If you wish to run some errands while your vehicle is being serviced you can shop at the Kingston Square across the road or grab a quick lunch at Swiss Chalet which is on the same side of the road as Degroots.

Three generations of Degroot’s have worked hard to help the community of Scarborough grow and thrive. In 1956 Kees Degroot opened a 3 bay BA Gas Station at Lawrence Avenue and Kingston Road. Over the next years the gas supplier would change to Gulf and then to Petro Canada. Degroots prided themselves on supplying the best service and value for their customers. In the late 60’s Kee’s son Mike joined the business and served his mechanical apprenticeship under his father’s guidance. Mike learned at an early age about ensuring that the job was done right the first time and his customers were satisfied.

The business continued to grow and in 1983 they left the gas station business and moved next door to their current 6 bay facility on Falaise Road. Continuing the family tradition Mike’s son Braden began working at Degroots and he too would eventually serve his mechanical apprenticeship under his dad’s watchful eye. Braden is now working on the floor and assisting Mike on the counter as the business continues to evolve and grow. Training is paramount to keep up with today’s every changing technology in vehicles and Degroots TIRECRAFTScarboroughensure their technicians receive ongoing training to keep pace.

Degroots TIRECRAFTScarborough has seen the area of West Hill, become Scarborough and now the GTA. They continue to keep the business to simple basics that were started in 1956. Provide exceptional service, at a good value for the customer and ensure the job is done right the first time. Many shops believe they do this day in and day out but not many have the proof to back it up by keeping the family business going into the third generation servicing in some cases the fourth generation of customers that came when Kees first opened in 1956.

Stop by and experience the difference at Degroots TIRECRAFTScarborough you will be extremely happy you did.
