All Weather Tires

All weather tires provide a solution for drivers interested in a set of tires they can keep on their vehicle throughout Canada’s diverse seasons. These tires blend the safety requirements and features that drivers demand in the winter with the handling capabilities and performance you expect in the summer. With one set of all weather tires, you get a consistent driving experience, all year long—without the need to worry about tire changes, or where to store your second set of tires.

What Makes All Weather Tires A Year Round Choice?

All weather tires combine features of winter tires and all season tires for the ultimate year round tire option. These features include:

  • Increased sipe density on the inside treadsfor improved traction on ice and snow
  • Lower sipe density on the outside treadsto increase traction on wet and dry roads
  • Snow claws for increased traction in deep snow
  • Increasedblock rigidity for additional traction in icy and wet conditions
  • Slush grooves to evacuate slush and increase traction when driving in the snow
  • Multi-wave sipes that offer a smooth ride while minimizing irregular wear and improving braking capabilities on roads that dry, wet, or icy.
  • Slush edges and polished grooves work in concert to propel snow and water off the road, resulting in increased grip
  • Increased Stability for improved overall handling and control at any speed

All weather tires are designed to keep your vehicle safe in the winter, while still delivering superior handling and stability throughout the summer. Throughout all four seasons, these tires maintain a high resistance to wear and tear, making them a durable choice for any driver. Consumer Reports agrees, and recently toted all weather tires as “A winter tire you can use all year long.”

Tirecraft St. John's currently carries the following all weather tire options:

  • Toyo Celcius
  • Toyo Celcius SUV

If you’re ready to experience all weather tires for yourself, you can trust Tirecraft St. John's to help you find the perfect set.

Spotlight: The Toyo CelsiusToyo-Celsius SUV

The Celsius variable-conditions tire from Toyo delivers ice and snow traction that is superior to a traditional all season tire, as well as a longer tread life than you would find in a winter tire. This tire’s wide lateral grooves evacuate slush and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, while its staggered blocks with sawtooth edges increase traction in inclement weather and reduce road harmonics. The Celsius also offers an advanced tread design with optimized tread angles for maximum traction all year long.

In recent tests, the Toyo Celsius tire stopped 14 feet shorter on snow than its all season counterparts, as well as eight feet shorter on ice. These tires also receive passing grades in wet and dry road conditions—delivering year-round versatility and safety.

The Toyo Celsius comes with a 100,000 KM warranty and is available at Tirecraft St. John's

One Tire to Rule the Road

All weather tires carry the Severe Service Designation. This designation is acknowledged by Transport Canada to indicate tires that meet specific performance requirements in sever winter conditions. Because all weather tires bear this designation, they will remain soft and provide absolute grip in weather that dips below 7 degrees like a winter tire.

All Weather Tires Are Built to Last

All weather tires are designed using a special rubber compound. This compound protects against premature wear in cold and warm weather alike. In fact, many all weather tires include a tread-life warranty of 100,000 km.
