Overview

The Michelin LTX Winter tire is Michelin’s Light Truck (LT) winter tire designed for those commercial duty vans and pickups that carry a heavier load than your standard passenger vehicle. This tire was developed to increase ice and snow traction without compromising the other desirable features that a light truck series tire offers.

Features of Michelin LTX Winter Tires

The LTX Winter meets Michelin’s Green X standard for low rolling resistance which contributes to better fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions. The tire is designed to deliver optimal winter traction while still providing a smooth and quiet ride. The new Michelin-developed 3D Active Sipes which are molded into each tread block provide over 1000 biting edges for increased grip. Max Touch technology ensures that you get the largest amount of tread rubber in contact with the road at all times, thus providing stability and long, even tread wear. Four wide circumferential channels and numerous lateral grooves evacuate water and slush from under the tread for improved traction, braking, and resistance to hydroplaning. W/Max tread compounding keeps the tread rubber flexible in lower temperatures to provide consistent handling and stability characteristics during a wide range of temperatures. The LTX Winter is available in 10 ply (Load Range E) weight ratings for light trucks and vans with rim sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches.
