Think you need to pay dealership premiums to maintain your warranty coverage and keep your luxury ride feeling factory-fresh? Think again! TIRECRAFT Acura service centers offer all the same genuine parts and warranty-safe services, without the hassle, pressure sales, or service mark-ups.

Read on for some simple maintenance tips from our Acura service center, or contact your local TIRECRAFT to consult with our experts straight away.

Keep Your Luxury Ride In Shape: What’s The Best Acura Service Schedule?

In order to maintain your vehicle’s performance and keep your warranty coverage, you’ll need to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for preventative maintenance and repairs.

These recommendations vary depending on your Acura model, but they can all be found in your owner’s manual. For example, the 2022 ILX manual recommends booking:

  • Inspecting your brake fluid, tire pressure, exterior lights, and battery terminals at least once per month
  • Checking the condition of your wiper blades at least once per 6 months
  • Changing your oil as required by your Maintenance Minder/dashboard indicator, or once per 12 months
  • Rotating your tires at least once every 6 months
  • Balancing your tires after each changeover/reinstallation service

Maintenance requirements can also vary depending on your unique driving habits and road conditions. For example, the 2022 ILX manual states:

  • If you drive in dusty conditions, you should replace your air cleaner element every 24,000km
  • If you drive in urban areas with high concentrations of soot in the air from industry and diesel-powered vehicles, you should replace your dust and pollen filter every 24,000km
  • If you drive in mountainous areas at low speed, your transmission will run hot, and you may need to change fluids more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder, typically after 64,000km and then every 48,000km after the first service

To get personalized maintenance recommendations, get in touch with a local Acura service center.

Do I Need To Visit An Official Acura Service Center?

In a word, no.

As per the 2022 ILX manual, “maintenance, replacement, or repair may be done by any automotive repair establishment or individuals,” as long as replacement parts meet emissions control standards and maintenance techniques are completed according to industry best practices.

On page 515, the Acura 2022 ILX manual further states that you should book any non-standard maintenance services as soon as you become aware of any abnormality (noise, smell, insufficient brake fluid, oil residue on the ground, etc), but “service at a dealer is not mandatory to keep your warranties in effect.”

That said, you will need to find a qualified Acura service center, but TIRECRAFT makes it easy—we have over 300 locations conveniently located around the country, all of whom offer:

  • Acura-approved repair and maintenance services, from simple oil changes to complex repairs and part replacements
